SARAH Sugden betrays her own family with villain Josh in upcoming Emmerdale scenes.
The Dingle family has imploded in recent weeks after Matty Barton was imprisoned following the stabbing of Samson Dingle.
The incident came about after Samson’s new friend Josh goaded Matty – who is trans – in the HOP.
The situation between Josh and Matty grew increasingly hostile for Matty, until Josh threatened him to give up the money in the till.
The stand-off escalated and Josh shoved Samson into Matty, causing him to be stabbed by the knife that Matty was holding.
Samson then lied to his family and the police and said Matty stabbed him, leading to high tensions between Samson’s dad Sam and his brother Cain, who is step-dad to Matty.
However Samson isn’t the only Dingle Josh has tried to bring under his spell.
But in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Josh convinces Sarah to join him for lunch, until they’re caught again by Moira and Cain.
Sarah’s embarrassed when Cain sends Josh packing.
Will she continue to defy the family and spend time with the bad boy?
Meanwhile Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty, has opened up about how it was important to tackle transphobia in the plot.
He said: “Not everyone is super accepting. It is great Matty’s got that support.
“It’s lovely to tell, we showed the wedding recently, it was an exciting joyous moment. It looked so incredible on screen.
“But sometimes we need to show the flip side of that, how it could go the other way and could be quite cruel for someone like Matty.
“It shows the bigger picture of what it is like to be him. I was really excited, and it’s fantastic we get to mirror that and to tell that story.”
In the upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, Sarah Sugden is set to betray her own family by getting involved with the villainous Josh. This betrayal comes at a time when the Dingle family is already struggling, especially after the imprisonment of Matty Barton.
Sarah is caught with Josh by her parents, Cain and Moira, who are understandably furious given Josh’s role in Matty Barton’s incarceration. The tension within the family reaches new heights as a result of this betrayal.
The initial conflict between Josh and Matty arose when Josh provoked Matty, who is transgender, in the HOP. The situation escalated quickly, leading to a physical altercation where Matty ended up getting stabbed by a knife. Samson, who witnessed the incident, falsely accused Matty of stabbing him, further complicating the family dynamics.
Josh’s manipulation doesn’t stop with Sarah, as he has also targeted other members of the Dingle family. However, Sarah’s decision to defy her family and spend time with Josh raises questions about her loyalty and where her alliances truly lie.
Meanwhile, Ash Palmisciano, the actor who plays Matty, has emphasized the importance of addressing transphobia in the storyline. He acknowledges that not everyone is accepting of individuals like Matty, and that it is crucial to shed light on the challenges they face.
As the plot unfolds, viewers can expect more drama and twists as Sarah’s betrayal unravels and the Dingle family struggles to heal from the recent turmoil.
