EastEnders viewers fear Nugget Gulati will die from steroid misuse and his heart will be given to Nish Panesar in a huge transplant twist.

As regular BBC One viewers will know, Nish is facing a terminal illness due to quick cardiac failure after being diagnosed with viral myocarditis. 

Doctors told him that he urgently requires a heart transplant that is difficult to secure, or else face an early death.

However, this week sees Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati is rushed to hospital after his street collapse following steroid abuse. 

The distraught teenager is promptly taken into medical care where his parents, Priya Nandra-Hart and Ravi Gulaiti, are emotionally shaken by their son’s critical condition.

Dr Miller informs Nugget’s family about his kidney failure and raises suspicions of drug use, which his family vehemently deny.

However, Ravi separately discloses his concerns about Zack’s steroids allegations to Dr Miller – igniting a fierce argument between him and Priya regarding their parenting failures.

This emotional turmoil ends up with them finding comfort in each other’s presence, reports the Daily Star.

The plot thickens when Dr Miller confirms that Nugget has indeed been taking steroids.

His subsequent admission for medical treatment has led some EastEnders enthusiasts to predict Nugget’s death, and his heart donated to his grandad, resulting in saving his life.

An intrigued EastEnders fan queried on X: “If Nugget dies from steroids, would Nish get his heart #Eastenders @bbceastenders.”

One viewer speculated: “I reckon Nugget will die from taking steroids and his heart will go to Nish. #EastEnders.”

Another fan suggested a grim twist: “No way- does Nugget dies of a heart attack, due to the effects of steroid usage and Nish gets his heart and lives!#Eastenders Does that mean then Priya is also then stuck with him being abusive to her, especially in grief for her son’s death too.”

A third person predicted: “Calling it now, they’re going to kill off Nugget because of the roids and Nish is going to get his heart transplant #EastEnders”, as another chimed in.
