Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) finally discover they have another brother in Coronation Street soon, but they deal with the aftermath in a surprising way.
A few months ago, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) went on a mission to find her son Zodiac, who was put up for adoption and had his name change to Christopher Green when he was young.
Bernie found Christopher – now called Kit – but he said he was never adopted and sent her away.
However, after Kit arrested Bernie for being drunk and disorderly, he was able to access her file and eventually dealt with the revelation he was looking at his biological mother.
After Kit told Bernie that he didn’t want anything to do with her, he’s watched the Winter-Brown family from a bit of a distance.
He was on hand to help Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul at the hospital carpark recently, and also investigated Gemma’s case when she was arrested for thieving at a shoe shop.
In upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Bernie waits for Kit in the Rovers to discuss how they tell Gemma and Paul they have a brother.
The problem? Kit is already at the flat breaking the news to them.
In the week, it becomes apparent both Gemma and Paul are siding with Kit over the massive revelation, as Bernie tells Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) she’s having trouble communicating with the twins.
And to really highlight Bernie’s isolation, Gemma then reveals that she and Paul are buying a wreath for Kit’s mother.
Will things ever be the same again for this family now Kit is a part of it?

Kit, the newly discovered brother, has made his presence known by assisting Billy Mayhew and investigating Gemma’s legal troubles.
